Marcella Reissmann studied Musicology and Psychology in the cities of Weimar und Jena (B.A.), and Gerontology in Nürnberg (M. Sc.). Besides gaining experiences in several cultural and clinical fields, she worked in geriatric care at home and abroad in further preparation for her master’s studies. In her master‘s thesis, she investigated the correlation of political context factors and stressors of dementia family caregivers. Her research interest furthermore focuses on informal care and its effects on quality of life in the very old age. Since may 2019, she is a member of ceres as a scientific assistant in the NRW80+/D80+ projects.
