Dr. Judith Wenner studied Social Sciences (B.A.) at the Humboldt University of Berlin and subsequently completed her Master of Public Health (M.Sc., EMPH) at the School of Public Health at Bielefeld University. During her studies she worked in different (Public Health-) projects in Ghana, Belgium, India, and Germany. After her graduation she worked at the Department of Epidemiology & International Public Health and the Department of Population Medicine & Health Services Research. From November 2020 to the end of 2025, she was a postdoctoral research and research coordinator in the research projects NRW80+ and D80+. Since August 2021, she has also been working at the Department of Rehabilitative Gerontology. She continues to work as an associate researcher at ceres. Her research focusses on the social determinants of health, health inequality, and healthcare provision, considering (very) old age and diversity.
