Luise Geithner, M.A., studied Sociology and Economics at the University of Jena (B.A.) and Socioeconomics at the University of Hamburg. After her graduation, she was working as a research associate at the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen and as associate lecturer at the University of Heidelberg. From 2016 to 2020, Luise Geithner was a research associate at ceres in the projects NRW80+ and D80+. In her dissertation she dealt with the diversity of lifestyles in very old age and its connection to social inequality. Since 2020, she has been working at the Geschäftsstelle Qualitätsausschuss Pflege, and since April 2024 she works again at ceres. Her research interests are in the fields of social inequality, sociology of age and aging, and the life course.
