Project Objectives

The proportion of older workers in businesses will increase further within the coming years. Therefore, more and more companies are concerned with the question how to contribute to maintaining the health and work ability of their employees. The decisive point will be to develop employment and human resource policies that takes into account the course of development throughout working life. Only few scientific findings have been generated concerning the connection between different measures and procedures.

The aim of the project is to identify successful concepts of age management in the automotive industry and to develop a practical and transferrable model with the help of the associated companies.  

The focus is also set on improving networks between companies and external players involved in prevention and rehabilitation.

Emphasis will be operational areas of action: work organization and structuring of time, workplace design / ergonomics, health promotion, company integration management, training and development, human development and career management. The study design includes quantitative and qualitative methods.
