Anna Genske received her education in law (First state exam) and biomedical ethics (Master‘s degree) at the University of Passau, Macquarie University Sydney, Humboldt University Berlin and the University of Halle-Wittenberg. She started pursuing her interest in interdisciplinary research during her legal studies where she specialized in legal philosophy and legal history. Upon graduation, she worked as research assistant in the German parliament and in a leading international law firm before she decided to enter the field of biomedical ethics and law. She gained practical insights in both medical and legal settings during internships in various institutions such as the German Federal Ministry of Justice and the University hospital Charité Berlin. Anna is currently a doctoral candidate at the Institute for Medical Law at the University of Cologne and Research Associate at ceres (Project Riskomp). She has been the Scientific Coordinator of ceres since ceres’ foundation in 2013 till March 2017.
