Andreas Kirchner, M.A., received his academic training in media studies, literary studies, political science, and sociology at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz and the University of Marburg. After graduation, he stayed in Marburg and worked as a research assistant and research associate at the Department of Media Studies. Subsequently, he joined the Hybrid Publishing Lab at the Centre for Digital Cultures at Leuphana University Lüneburg, where he co-founded the open access publishing house meson press. Current research interests are in the areas of scientific communication, digitization and film studies. Since April 2016, Andreas is a PR officer at ceres.
